Your Role

Within the FSS - Fighter Simulation and Support Systems department for the SSSP - Secure Support System Platforms section at Saab Aeronautics, we are now looking for a developer regarding computer platforms for training systems.

As a developer with us, you will have varied tasks across multiple areas, including: hardware, operating systems, real-time systems, drivers, I/O systems, networks, and information security. You will work on developing and being responsible for the deployment of Windows OS and applications, repackaging applications and scripts, and documenting OS and application design.

You will also work with customers where there is a need to understand their requirements to deliver what is requested. In the section, we work closely together and create redundancy for the section's various roles by performing and supporting different tasks to move the business forward. This is also a great opportunity for employees to develop and learn new things together with other members of the section.

Together with your colleagues, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle, from concept studies, requirements work, and design to actual implementation, ongoing operations, and management. You will develop solutions that can be used in computer platforms for both training and support systems within Aeronautics, and the work is done in close collaboration with other departments at Saab as well as with companies and authorities within and outside Sweden.

Your Role

In the role of a developer with us, we see that you are analytical and have an easy time understanding and solving problems. You can work both independently and in a group with others, which requires you to be good at communicating in writing and verbally, both in Swedish and English.

You are professional, humble, and empathetic and have the ability to handle emerging events combined with long-term thinking. You combine this with good collaboration skills and the ability to plan and drive assigned tasks within the current timeframe in a structured manner.

In addition to the personal competencies mentioned above, we see that you who are relevant for this role have knowledge of:

• Client and server hardware,
• IT security in general and security features in Windows,
• Windows Server and Windows Client OS,
• deep knowledge of Powershell, scripting, and Windows OS,
• experience with deployment e.g., SCCM and MDT,
• knowledge of computers, servers, and IT system hardware, and
• experience with IT services and solutions such as System Center and Hyper-V.

The following knowledge/experience is meritorious for the role:

• Requirements work and system design,
• work in the Solaris operating system,
• storage, backup/archiving,
• IT Security, and
• drivers, networks/switches, licenses for OS, applications, and hardware.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
